Script or an explanation of how sites are ranked? Search engines? Spiders? Examples / code are particularly well received?
I have some experience in computer science and mathematics, but I recently had some interest in understanding how is that places as alexa.com is able to classify traffic / bandwidth sites. As was pointed out that Yahoo is 1, Google is 3. Is there a way to track where people go? Is there code? Tutorials? VB.NET is always welcome, but also all other languages a good job. Is this possible without some kind of program installed on a computer customer? Brian
